Baptism Gift: Winged Ox Medallion

An excerpt from the Mother’s toast:

“The name Luca means bringer of light, and we chose it in part for its connection to Saint Luke, whose symbol is the winged ox—which we had hand-carved for Luca’s baptism medal. The ox represents service and sacrifice, while the wings remind us that acts of love carry a spiritual dimension.”

This was a very special project. It challenged what I thought I was capable of, at this scale, and I’m overjoyed with the results. I am happy for myself, and for my clients – that I met the challenge.
