Garuda

Brass Belt Buckle

I was commissioned by the good folks at Pure Brilliance, in Toronto, to carve this 9cm long mini-reproduction of a sculpture of Garuda.

Garuda is generally portrayed as a protector with the power to swiftly travel anywhere, he is described as the King of Birds.

I loved the intensity, understanding and honour required to carve this piece. It was rather intensive.

This project represents 45hrs. of carving time.

It has been cast in brass and sterling silver.
