Knot drawing series * 2019 * varying sizes * generally ink and watercolour on paper

It may be a bit difficult to see, but these Knot drawings evolved from my grid drawing series…
I was very interested in the way that the space between the individual rectangles in the grid was the most active space, and it was the space that wasn’t actually drawn. ‘Threads’ started sprouting and looping from the grid drawings, and then just floated out there on their own. Also, personally, I was, trying to work the nervous knots from my stomach at the time.
